Help with some shit program called saved now!

Well I installed a mp3 to wav converter and the thing installed a program called save now... that make pop-ups appear now and then... not all that many but It's still annoying...

Now when I try to remove it, wether with add/remove program or deleting the folder it won't because it's being used... since as soon as my comp powers up so does that piece of shit... or maybe it's with my internet I dunno.

But I need that POS off my computer and I have no idea how to do it... help?

I forget this thing but there is a tool that u can choose what is started up at the boot. It's just a matter of clicking it off then going and removing it after u boot up. I will see if I can find it when I get home. (I'm at school)

delete the files that aren't being used. hopefully it won't work correctly and not run on startup, and then delete the rest.

Well, if what 1024 said doesn't work, try Spybot: Search & Destroy. That will get rid of any nasty adware, even some spyware you probably dont know about.

or you can

1) click on run, in the start menu
2) type Msconfig
3) click the startup tab
4) deselect everything, exept everything you want to have run at start up. it worked for me, and it only takes my comp 5 seconds to start up windows

Safemode handles that stuff. Reboot in safemode (w/o networking for added mesure) delete any spyware and then shutdown wait like 30 seconds and power back up! It should be gone.

Start > Run > Type in "msconfig" > Make your way from there..
