Player name griefing

This jackass on Konried named himself something with a bunch of '|' characters in a row, like this: ||||||||||||||||| except on the screen, they were too close together to count and the chat window kept scrolling. He was TK'ing everyone, but nobody could /report him because of the way his name was formatted.

It sucked for our assault because he somehow managed to avoid a weapon lock for quite a while.

do a print screen next time you see him so you are able to look at the still screen of it then you can report him

If this doesn't seem like the most premeditated type of griefing, though, I don't know what does. This fvcker should have his account banned just to show him just how clever he is. Any CSR would just have to search the name database for *|||||||* and kick his ass.

Humorously enough, though, I saw him on the chat window, so when he got near me and started firing, he drank a blood slurpy thanks to my Cycler, and then again when he tracked me down.

I may not believe in TKing out of revenge, but self-defense is another matter.

Have you tried making a character with almost or more Exclamations points as his for the strict purpose tking him. You could delete it and switch between like 11 and 13 Exclamation points in hte name everytime you jam and remake and hunt his butt down some more.

Or does it stop you from doing that?

If so do the same thing with a character from a different empire. You could even go as far as to making an outfit named !!!!!!!!!!! thats sole purpose is to kill and make his life hell. 8) Everyones name must be a variation of !!!!!!!

If I recall correctly, only alphanumeric characters are allowed, meaning he can't have pipes (|) in his name.

So it was either I's or lowercase L's. More annoyingly it could be both. (I wonder if this is they same guy I saw with vanity New York License plates that read something like I11II1I11. If that's not purely to try to slow down cops or concerned citizens from reporting you I don't know what is.)

I did find IIIIIIIIIIIII in the TR on Konreid. That's 13 I's ( http://myplanetside.station.sony.com...420&worldId=16 ) Trouble is, it says he last logged on October 22.

Perhaps one of the sites that manipulates PS data can get a list of all the players who logged on the day this was happening.

I once made a char with the name SporkJumperPS in beta, he yelled at me, I threatened to ban a bunch of TKers during the stress testing for 3 days, luckily I wasn't banned, hehe, I don't know why , but this thread reminded me of that
