so, i'm not missing much, am i? when i think of expansion (i hate to bring my old MMOG referances in, but i must), i think of something like Ruins of Kunark, or Shadows of Luclin, or even Planes of Power for EQ. This seems like LESS of an "expansion" than Legecy of Ykesha was for EQ. i apologize to any EQ illiterate folks

Yes, the expansion was a truly wretched piece of work. While some of the new weapons and technology were well-conceived, it was a massive waste of time to have to go all the way down to the utterly abandoned caverns to grab another Maelstrom or Flail. Also, the Dev's attempt to create urban combat was seriously flawed; caverns, not matter what the advertisements say, are twisty, convoluted passages, not cities.

I would get the expansion if I didn't have to go to a base with a module to let you get the expansion stuff or go down to the caves to get what I want. The fact that I hardly ever see any of the new weapons, and never see any of the new vehicles except for flails, the occassional router, and one or two switchblades a week, is a pretty clear indication that something isn't working properly. I just can't justify myself paying money for vehicles and weapons which take a long time to get, especially given how easily death comes in PS. If I were the devs, I'd do away with the stupid module/cavern restrictions on where you can get these new items and let them become an actual part of players' arsenal in PS.
