I realize this will never happen but I'm bored.
As a players BR goes up they are awarded implants & fancy armor aside from the cert points. What if, at certain levels, they were awarded new uses for existing weaponry? This would quiet those of us who complain about BR 1 noobs instantly have access to anything a BR 20 can get and who could conceivably be just as dangerous. Perhaps at BR 10 you could have an extra zoom on a Bolt Driver or at BR 15 you would be able to use Plasma rounds in a Rocklet. Perhaps at BR 8 the player could gain the ability to fire "charged" shots fired slowly from a Pulsar that took 5 ammo points per shot. These are just random/dumb ideas to be sure but I think you know what I mean. The possibilities seem endless. It would add a little more depth in my estimation. Bring the flamage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know. I think the playing field would still be fairly even. The BR1 noobs still have access to all the weapons. The veterans just would have more options. The noobs would still have a fighting chance as long as the squad they ended up in has a good mixture of new & old players. They would slowly earn these abilities & have greater incentive to advance in rank.
The ideas I listed are just thrown out at random. It could work if done correctly. I guess I'm just looking to see what kind of ideas we could come up with.

I think it's bad only because this is not an RPG, you shouldn't be 10 times stronger than someone JUST because of your level. It's based on the PLAYERS skill, and in that department vets already have a bonus: experience. N00bs die quicker because they are exactly that: new. They learn, and get better, and then more noobs come along. And thus is the circle maintained, lol.

At BR1 you are not as effective as someone at BR20. For example... I go melee infil a lot but without melee boost and surge I would be far less effective. The same could be said with my grunt setup. Without engie/medic to heal myself, and SA to decimate MAXes, my lasher wouldn't be nearly as resourceful as it is. I could go on and on giving examples but there is no reason to.
Contrary to common misconception and BR1 is no where near effective as a br20.
