So, i finally enrolled! Why? Because i forgot that i am legally able to now and my sweety Nikki invited me to take the course with her. I just got done signing up, $249 for 4 saturdays. I start this saturday, and go from 8:45am-5:00pm. Truth be told, i did it so i could be with Nikki all day saturday, otherwise i probably would have waited a long ass time before i tried for Driving School. Theres 4 sessions, i'm starting on session 2 and finishing on session 1. She started on 1, and is finishing on session 4 so my last session at the school will be without her, but i'll live. Here's the new law as of Jan 1 2004 though.
TEEN LAW EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2004 allows teenagers to take Driver?s Education (30 hours of classroom) at age 15, but does not allow them to obtain a driving permit or drive with their parents. To begin the driving phase, they must be enrolled with a professional driving school, be at least 15 years old, and have completed the 30 hour Driver?s Education course. There is, however, a provision in the new law that allows teens under 15 to obtain a student license (misnamed should be student permit) from a driving school which will allow them to drive only with a professional driving instructor. They will not be allowed to drive with parents or guardian. This means that there could be several weeks or months between the completion of the driving lessons and the beginning of practice time with their parents. For the average teenager it will be easier under the new law to simply enroll in a Driver?s Education class at age 15 , complete the 30 hours of training, enroll in behind the wheel instruction (6 hour program), and then they will be able to practice with their parent/guardian between the professional lessons. Traditionally practicing with a parent or guardian in between the professional driving lessons helps the student develop those skills such as space management, vision habits, and other driving techniques. The parent or guardian can then go on and give the student a minimum of 40 hours of day time driving practice, along with a minimum of 10 hours of night time practice. So that basically means, i complete my 30 hour course and 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction. Then in march, (when im 15 and 6 months years old) i go to the DMV and take the written test and apply for my permit. After i pass, i spend the next 6 months practicing with my mom and her pimp ass saturn. When 6 months is up (around my 16th birthday) i will go to the DMV and take the test for my license. Then i will be a free man, i can pick up my sweety whenever i want and take her out or pick her up to come over and hang out. Once i get a good reliable car, i can take trips up north to see my brother and dad, and also Chelle. Damn, i am excited :-D |

Remember, Squeeky. The older/junkier car you have, the less regard for everyone elses safety you should have.
Thus, if oyu have a 70's rustbucket, you should be driving suicidally. Since A: Old steel pwnz new steel. B: Old people with nice cars will back off. 3: Its wayyy too much fun being a dick to people you dont know.

I can get my Learner's, but my dad didn't want me to get it. Strange. Both parents want to secretly teach me to drive off-road and in the parking lots.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

FL laws = win
Can get permit the day you turn 15 without any previous training. Some insurance companys offer discounts for drivers ed classes for full licenses, however, Giceo (sp) dosent so, all i have to do is get teh mom to sign saying "I drove at least x amount of hours in the day and at least x amount and then i am qualified to take teh full driving test, with the tester in the car and stuff. Im past my year marker, but due to my lack of a friggen job, and no B avg on my 'port card in order to get like a 100$ discount on insurance, i must wait.
