Would it be cooler if when a person made a vehicle, all squad members within 20 yards of the vehicle terminal would automatically be loaded into the vehicle's gun/passenger slots (at random)?
Imagine everyone gathering into the Air Creation room at the Dropship center, and with one click, a Galaxy rezzes and is instantly filled. No landing to load up. No squabbling over gunner positions, just a full Galaxy ready to deploy.

That'd actually be pretty useful, but instead of automatic loading, there should be a dialog box that says, "Would you like to board this vehicle? Yes/No." Hit Yes and you load, hit No and you stay where you are. That way you don't get dragged into a vehicle when you were just passing by the vehicle terminal.
On the other hand, the usefulness of an autoloading feature wouldn't be too great if it happens only when you create a vehicle. You'd have a convienent way to load everyone up on the first trip, but you'd have to board the conventional way every time afterwards. What would be good, however, is some sort of "Loading Pad" or "Boarding Terminal" that people can enter or just stand on/in. Once a Galaxy or an APC lands/drives on a designated spot, everyone currently in the Terminal would automatically enter the transport. Those who couldn't fit just wait until the next ride. This needs some tweaks, but it would be a great way for all those Gal pilots and APC drivers out there who lilke to shuffle troops back and forth.

No, they just need to put in a decent place to land the damn things, i don't want to get teleported into some galaxy because i'm too close to the pad and i really don't want to get killed because of some fucking popup.
Edit: Even more so i don't want some little bastard getting away because of it and i don't want to lose the opportunity for disruption. If your going to launch a gal from a front line base you should have to know what your doing.

1- Since vehicles are getting XP splits and a private chat channel, they need a system for unsquaded drivers and pilots to pair up with a crew. I believe Smokejumper added this to the uberbig list of ideas they'll work in one day.
2- We need more vehicle favorites (3/vehicle?) and a way to buy them right off the pad with the favorite loaded. 3- Mentioned autoload terminal for transports. More landing spots.

As for getting passengers onto a vehicle faster,
I already got a pen & paper sketch of how to redesign the vehicle menu. Debating with myself over a *special color* or a something like a *Seat icon* on the minimap for: 'THIS PARKED VEHICLE WITH A DRIVER IN IT IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING PASSENGERS AND HAS SEATS OPEN' With the dynamic locking system in the vehicle menu, and the Sunder hotdrops and transport certs should flourish.

It would be nice for some, but i would hate to get sucked into a gal while i'm trying to get a reaver or kill someone

And it bears repeating: We need locks for every seat, lock favorites, and new lock types with checkboxes instead of radio buttons.

Add in some new lock types -Friends -Outfit -Platoon -Squad -Alliance Make them checkboxes so I can, say, check Outfit, and Squad, but not open. Spawn, Matrix, and Equipment terminals should be lockable on AMSes too.
