I tried this, and it worked for me. PS went from unplayable in the zergs (after a december patch) to playable.

Post PC stats and before/after fps results plz, we can judge anything if we don't know what the improvment was, or how good your hardware is

I tried it, i didn't see any noticable improvment in FPS. but i was only in the sanc because i had stuff to do

It seemed to work pretty good for a while, but when the pop-lock started counting down I did start losing FPS steadily. However, I wasn't able to stay until the continent was fully locked, and I also never ran into any of the extremely frustrating 0.1 FPS that used to pop up at least once or twice per session. Yes that's a 10 second pause between frames, and yes the ingame framerate window actually used to read that all the time for me, mostly when flying over zerged bases.
So this looks promising, but I am not going to say that it fixes 100% of everything. I'll do some more "testing" after work today and post my results. |
