Hi
When I started playing the 7-day trial I was told that I could continue playing just by starting a subscription without buying the game (See this thread), but I can't figure out how. When I click on the link to manage the (now closed) trial subscription, I'm told to buy the game and enter the code found in the case. How do I start a new subscription without buying the game and then link it to the trial subscription account so that I can continue playing my old chars if that is at all possible? Regards Andreas |

here's how mate, I figured it out last week when I was in the same predicament: ""HOORAY the gamespot key still works to subscribe from... I don't have to buy the box!!! Score one for Mr. Cheap!!! How do you do it you may ask? Use THIS google archived page only: http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cach...&hl=en&ie=UTF-8 Enter your email, and the email will HAVE to be a hotmail or yahoo account, I have no idea why, but I can verify that it doesn't respond to others. Your key will be sent to that and you can use it to subscribe. (not for a trial anymore it appears though) but this saves you $20-40 from having to buy the retail. hope this helps someone else if they were going to subscribe from the trial."" |

See, I actually save a great deal of money on pay-to-play games. Before I started playing MMOs, I would buy a game, beat it, go out and buy another. I went through a couple games a month this way, usually paying $40-50 per game. A game with a subscription that isnt "beatable" and provides occasional new content keeps me occupied and interested. The last game I bought was Homeworld 2 back in December (really good game though!)
