Well Activision being the great publisher that they are have released the E3 2004 Doom 3 Trailer, PC Version is not being shown at E3 this year since Doom 3 PC has gone into its first phase of beta testing. I think that this trailer shows the Xbox port in action because A few days ago IGN and Gamespy did a preview of this new trailer and I believe it is an Xbox one, I do not know because as of now my download is at 74%. I will post on which version it is. You can get the new trailer from www.fileplanet.com
Edit: It is the Xbox version, and it looks great the textures arent as good as the PC Version but it isnt that noticeable, and Vicarious Visions has done a great job in making those great textures run and animate well considering Xbox's limited ammount of Memory. PC or Xbox say what you want about Half Life 2 and Halo 2 but im more excited about Doom 3. Doom 3 Online Co-Op is making me get Xbox Live now if anyone wants to play in a few months lets get a couple of threads going. Its good to see more progress on Doom 3 its been 4 years in development and its about damn time. Last edited by Biohazzard56; 2004-05-10 at 10:20 PM. |

Defenitely more satanic then the cinematic trailer. Defenitely looking forward to it, but I'll probably be getting it on PC.
I like the "Lord deliver us from evil" near the beginning. Game looks like it's gonna be incredibly ambient. So far, most of what we've seen has been alpha lab, so I can't wait to see what the rest of the base looks like. The mini-hell infestations look awesome. I think the UAC was trying to turn these things into weapons. Recall from the cinematic trailer when the hell night was trapped in the containment chamber. I think they fucked around with quantum physics, ventured into hell, realized "Hey! We can use these things as weapons" and got in way over their heads. but yeah, words can't describe how much I'm looking forward to this. Doom 3 = Half Life 2 > Halo 2.

Doom 3 is a classic remake to Doom, I think your right im going to do more re-search on this topic.
HFS, EarlyDawn. You may be onto something, Doom 3 is basically Doom I story with altered events. Doom I was on Phobos experimenting with Time Travel maybe your explanation is what happens in Doom 3. Last edited by Biohazzard56; 2004-05-10 at 11:26 PM. |

Not to bust your balls man, but that's what they've said from the beginning. It's a remake of the original, only instead of teleportation between phobos and demos, they put it on Mars with quantum teleportation.
I think the UAC fucked around will hell, which is a bad idea. And now, mini hells (the organic tentacles) are infesting the base. And it's spreading.

The invisible creature in Doom is to this day the only time a game has pulled something so unexpected that I literally yelled. Anybody that doesn't care better not care about FPS's at all, cause this thing looks to kick 8 shades of ass. |

It's ID. Release dates mean nothing to them. They care about quality a lot more than most developers and have release dates of "when it's done" on their projects. Supposedly the game has been done for months and they'll be making the release date announcement at E3, and it sounds very likely that it will release next month. They aren't even bothering with the hype machine, they're just going about their business and making great games.
