A number of members along with some of guys (and the gal) who hang out around at the BOHICA Gaming Community are playing. There is a public supergroup I believe. I think it is on Freedom, but I'm not totally sure which server. I have been resisiting the temptation of buying CoH for fear of a deadly summer break + MMOG addiction combination.

No CoH board yet, but Gohan has been practically begging for one. Use a search.

mutant is most abused origin out there... pick something else if you switch servers, so that later on you'll have a better shot at dual/single origin enhancements when you're in a group

I started a Blaster tonight on Freedom. When I don't play Blaster for a while I forget how ridiculously powerful they are. No wonder it seems like 50 percent of the players are Blasters.

I'll make a second character for freedom. Probably a natural martial arts guy.

Blasters are strong at lower levels and their powers are loud and shinny. That's why 50% of people play as one. Once you start to get higher up their low hit points start to become a problem.

If you make a new character on freedom make a healer of some kind. There are way too few healers and nobody realizes how important they are until they run into a group of 50 Vahziloks. You'll never have a problem finding a group as a healer, which helps you level up very quickly.

The archetype populations have started to balance out somewhat on Pinnacle. I assume the same is happening on the other servers. Give it a little more time, and people will be looking for buff/debuffers.
