Well we know Post BR 20 things are coming just around the corner so Me and Xnerd and SecondRaven put together a few ideas for a MA merit comendation/post BR20 thing.
Basicaly after you pick up 1500 or so kills with your Empire Specific MA weapon you get access to these, that expond upon the beginning MA is a bit better at (inrealation to the others, you'll see what i mean) For the TR: Dual Cut Down Cyclers, These are single barreld versions of the Cyclers with Bannana Clips and no stock(much shorter). The weapons take up one rifle slot(both of 'em) they are on a kindof rakc mount that gets put on your back. When you take them you you get one in each hand (it takes 1.5 times the aount of normal Draw time and put away time). These have big COF's but small recoil, they fire alternating(like the reaver, but the COF overlaps more) giving it !.5 times the refire rate of the cycler, they each have a 30 round clip(so 60 total) they do a bit less than normal Cycler damage (but a higher TTK) , only 2x zoom, and even that will be hardly worth it. also AP damage on is acctauly quite good due to new AP ammo tech in it. Bit long of a reload time (just a bit slower than MCG time) PRO: High ROF, Great at close range but not as good as the MCG, big clip, better than Cycler TTK(may have use as an Infil weapon, as a single gun later) same degradation CON: Not much use at range, Ammo burner, not accurate, have to anticipate targets more, becaue of longer draw time For the NC: Gauss Battle Rifle, a Bullpup rifle taking styleing cues from the original gun. short strait mag twards the but, And a Cylindracal Scope up top, slightly of to the left of center, a bit longer than the original as well. 25 round clip, 2x 4x 6x zoom, normal load time. Two fire modes. Prime, this simulates normal Guass acceleration, for med to med/long ranges: This weapon has a base COF just slighly smaller than the original weapon but it has larger expantion, after 4 shots. Bit slower ROF than guass, 8 shot kill on rexo(over guasses 10) bit less degradation, full auto, higher TTK than guass) Secondary mode, this simulates an overcharge of the guass acceleration for med/long to long ranges: Semi-Auto (ala Click one and shot once, no holding down, or if thats not possible Lancer ROF with Charge at the end not begining of shot) Damage to take out a rexo in 5 hits, low degradation, nice accuracy, basicaly no bloom do to slow refire rate. For the VS: I'm fresh out of ideas, so tell me what you think All of these are up for debate, if you want somethig else, post it It can be something else beside a weapon, any Merit/Post BR20 Thing you can think of.

Yeah, I'd like to register a resounding no for these.
If you really want them in, make them part of the Merit Commendations/Elite Abilities system. And make duel wielding pistols attached to the melee booster implant, renamed to strength enhancement afterwards. BTW, Keebler... death will come for you on swift wings.

Nice creative thinking Rbstr. But, I think these would be better suited as new weapons perhaps in the SA certification rather than +20BR items.
I think +20BR rewards should be added skills/certs and not unique equipment. Honestly I'd not mind seeing the BR level limit raised to 30 but requiring insane amounts of BEP to achieve... You get BR20 in about 3,000 kills... to get to BR30 you'd need 30,000 kills or something like that... so most will never achieve it. And the only benefit I think would be good is just added certifications... more versitility not more power is my vote.

The last thing this game needs is a bunch of new special abilities to seperate veterns from newbs.
PS's strength is that after playing for 1 day equipment wise you can compete with an oldtimer. Your new character may not have the versitility of an oldtimer, but it will compete just fine in your specializations. Implants are enough as far as advantages go to older players. What you are asking for would pretty much gaurantee the end of PlanetSide. EDIT: Badash's idea is pretty good.

Creating new weapons shouldn't be a bonus to BR 20 chars, because whn you think of it it doesn't have quite the logical sense it needs to work. Are BR 20 chars stronger/faster than BR 5 or BR 10 chars? No, not really. So why are they the only ones who can use those guns?
Instead I would much more appreciate something along the lines of this: Say someone gets their 100 sniper kill today. Yay, congrats to Mr. (or Ms.) Sniper. So as a reward for his (or her) long-time dedication and practice using the bolt-driver, he/she automatically reloads his/her bolt-driver faster than the normal, "non-practiced" user. It would be something like 1/2 the reload time. This could be logically explained by saying simply "they've had more practice, and can do it faster." Most people who've been in the army/marines/et al for a year or two can reload a clip like omfg uber-faster than a new soldier could. Anyways I guess my point is that rather than totally new weapons, it should be more of a modification on old weapons.
