This is just an idea I had. Rules are really simple. I will ask at least one question a day, and then the first person who answers it gets a point. That goes on until either this topic gets purged or I become extremely bored of the topic (which is unlikely). Of course, if this isn't a popular idea, it will get purged rather quickly, so it doesn't matter.

The Russians, during World War II, quickly saw the demand for a submachine gun. Two major events led to the Russian use of submachine guns. The Winter War with the Finns in 1939 - 1940, in which the Finn's used SMG's to great effect, and the German Invasion in 1941 in which the Russian's lost due to a large volume of fire. Thus, the PPSh - 41 was born.
