wtf Hong Kong?

Two Nazi-like swastikas are seen on the chest of Japanese robot-like "Robowaru" in this picture taken on Wednesday, April 30, 2003. A figurine of the "Robocon" character is being sold as part of a Coca-Cola promotion in Hong Kong. A rabbi from a Hong Kong synagogue says the toy is unacceptable and stores should stop selling them.

Here's something else:

Swastikas and othe Nazi symbols are used as decoration in a Hong Kong clothing store, as seen on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003. Israeli and German diplomats have lashed out at a Hong Kong fashion company for using swastikas and other Nazi symbols. The Hong Kong-based firm designed a range of T-shirts and pants with Nazi symbols and launched new decorations this past week in its 14 stores. One branch projected Nazi propaganda films on the shop's wall

On August 12, the Izzue clothing store chain announced that it had removed all Nazi-themed clothing and decorations from its stores following an international outcry.

However, it wasn't a skewed Swastika. Note the "real" Swastika was a symbol for peace. The Nazi version is tilted.

I'm pretty sure it was a Japanese symbol first. That or Buddist.

Your are correct sir. I've seen old Asian paintings with Samurai looking solders wearing swastikas.

It was used by alot of different cultures, you can't point to anywhere and say "it started there." I'm fairly certain it was used by some indian tribes and in south america, there was also a US army infantry division with a swastika on there patch up until the nazis started using them.

And yeah, Hitler just went down a list and picked the symbol he thought was coolest.

yeah, but, as with almost everything else: one douche bag always fucks things up for everyone else. all it takes is one asshole to poop it all up. just one.

I was just thinking that, I don't remember the Company's name but they were in WWI.
