I found that even in the NC, some honor can be found
I came out of a warpgate in a lightning this weekend and found a Thunderer sitting at the first tower with it's driver. Naturally, I opened up on it. Then as I cruised near him firing I hear "Cease Fire". I was intrigued and stopped shooting. The driver jumped out of the thunderer, at which point I figured he just wanted to jump into one of the gunners spots to defend himself. I decided I would be mobile with a less powerfull gun, to his stationary with a more powerfull gun, sounds fair, ok. However, he didn't get into the gunners spot, he just moved off to the side so I could destroy the vehicle without him in it. Of course, I could have just turned and blew him away, so that took an act of faith on his part to just stand there. I looked at him for a minute and decided to just drive away, leaving both driver and vehicle without further damage. Then, about 20 minutes later I was battling to hold control of a tower, and I spawned, ran to the terminal, geared up and when I turned, I found I was facing into an NC about 10 feet away looking right at me. Well all I saw was NC/jackhammer, so I whipped out my pulsar and started firing, at which point he took me out. As I lay there I saw the name of the player and realized it was the driver I had let live just 20 minutes earlier. At first I was mad that he had spawn camped me when I had let him live, then I thought about it. Where he was standing he must have had plenty of chance to blow me away from the tube to the terminal, and he never pulled the trigger of his hammer till after I let into him with my pulsar. In essence, he had granted me the same chance at fair fight I had granted him. Honor among warriors is alive and well in planetside |

heh i spawn camp when i'm not hacking the cc. I only spawn camp if i don't have the means to blow the tubes.
and it's easier to overcome spawn camper then most think. Hell as soon as i spawn I jump straight for the equip term. if they are in the tubes they have the bestchance to get you, anywhere else u have a good chance to say...get an ai max. Even if they pull decimaters on u those who spawned after u can clear the campers cause u gavem time to get equiped. This will work with most infantry campers. however it's impossible if an ai max just stands right infront of the tube. pretty hard to jump over those

When i'm alone and there aint much activity on the cont and i run into a enemy, i dont fire until fired upon. Course if its a really fucked up cont i fire like hell. If i run into a soldier in a warpgate with no ride, while i'm in my reaver with rockets warming up in the silos, i let him go. Again if in heavy battle its total war.
Once i was watching a base (nc), and a vangaurd saw my reaver and blew me up. I did nothing to prevent it but fly away. Few minutes later he apoligized because he thought i had no rockets and i never fired any. True i was close to none, but i sat there stupidly and he appoligized. It made me happy.....besides the fact i died.

On my VS cloaker alt on Markov, I helped out a TR by giving him Mag ammo for his hacked Magrider. I also drained a base to 0 so the TR could hack it. I told them that as long as they don't hack my tower, I won't kill them...tehy spawn camped me and killed me multiple times so I proceeded to mine and Spit the NTU Silo and killed their ANT . If you catch me as my NC main, I usually deal out weapons if enemies ask. Out of many NC I've seen, I seem to be one of the nicer ones in the mix.

Honestly, if i had the drop on someone, i'd kill him, and i woudlnt bat an eyelash about it. Fair or not. I wouldn't show any fairness because i'v never recieved any, nor do i expect any. Although some of it is personal depending on empire. An NC player i would kill with extreme prejiduce, a VS player is simply a target, no more, no less.
As for spawn camping, i prefer to blow the tubes. Although if the location must be held, and AV, ACES, or AP rounds are not available at the time, i will camp the tubes in order to hold that location, but it is the last option i would consider.

For me it doesn't depend so much on what empire I'm fighting, but it depends on what type of character I'm fighting. Is he/she a cloaker, a heavy assault grunt, sniper, support, transport? Here's generally my policy towards other people.
Cloaker: Hands down, I'll kill you if I see you. You're probably out there in your ninja suit hunting me or my sniping buddies down. The sooner you die, the better. Heavy Assault Grunt: More often than not, these guys fire on me first. So thus, when I'm sniping, you are a target. Get to close I'll take out my lasher. Snipers: You're a threat to myself and to others. If I'm feeling playful I'll let you live for awhile, but ususally you guys are my first targets. Support Trooper (Somone who is repairing or healing or reviving): If you're healing, I'll shoot the guy you're healing. I'll shoot you too just to scare you away. If you're repairing I'll shoot you. Transporter: If you're alone in an ANT or a Galaxy and you get out, I won't snipe you. You arent concerned with killing me, so I won't concern myself with killing you. Plus I know how much of a pain it is to get a vehicle, I wouldn't want anyone to waste their time like that. Assault Vehicles (ground and air): I'll just run away. Simple as that, I've got no AV against you. In big battles however, everything goes. No more honor, no more compassion. If I see you and you're a target, you're just going to be another kill. No questions asked, honor be damned. Offtopic: Today I noticed the true power of a handful of snipers. About 10 or 15 of us (random guys, just set up by chance) set up on a base wall and began sniping. We were able to hold back several Terran zergs. I find that mostly we're the ones softening up targets. I fire, it hits, he runs away and I never see him again. Move to next target. Spawn camping is not something I'm proud of, but I do it. Mostly because I don't carry av anymore so destroying spawn tubes is too much of a chore and a liability to myself. If you die in the spawn tube, stop spawning there and move on. Yeh ill spawn camp if i hafto cuz i never cary a rek but i never activley seek out spawns. And in bases when we just got the spawn room, spawncamping for more than a minute after the room has been taken is way over kill anything before that is simply a way to help your XP during the hack.
