So after getting a summer job (minimum wage answering phones and doing other office stuff) I made about $700 before taxes.
So after Uncle Sam takes his chunk of my hard work, im left with $603.50. Add that to my already sizeable stash, and I have about $1,400 total. Im trying to think of a way to spend this, and I've finally decided on getting a new LCD Flat Panel Moniter. Something like : Now I'm trying to decide between....: A. Get SAMSUNG 193P-Silver 19" LCD Monitor -RETAIL - http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...001-156&depa=1 19" screen, Available in silver or black. blah blah blah glance over the link for technical info. Would be good as a 2nd PC moniter, plus I can take it to lan parties instead of borrowing mom and dads. B. Get SAMSUNG 710N-Black 17" LCD Monitor -RETAIL - http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...001-158&depa=1 As well as A and use that in a dual moniter set up. This way I get rid of my fat-ass CRT completely, and the smaller moniter has a faster response time. (faster response = less ghosting, lower "ms" = faster the response.) should I come across a game where I notice A is ghosting, and would be willing to sacrifice size for performance. ( Its not the size, its how you use it ) or.. C. Keep my CRT (its in great condition anyways, just hate moving it), and then buy both A and the smaller moniter from B. Then set up a triple moniter config (is this even possible?) with the CRT in the middle, and LCDs on either side. So, seeing as how C is totally overkill, i doubt ill go with that, but it is a posibility with my current funds. Opinions? Flames? Suggestions? Better Ideas? All welcome. Thanks for your opinion guys. Oh, and Hamma which moniter did you say you got? How do you like it? |

NEC MultiSync LCD 1760v. It doesn't ghost, at ALL. I use it.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |
