Well, here goes:
I really, really hate HA, and i'd like to see it changed, so this is what i've come up with for the weapon that im stuck with. The lasher is currently sort of an indoor supression weapon, very powerful when you're crouching at the end of a hallway, but useless outdoors and inferior in the hands of a more mobile player. I say nerf the damage on a direct hit to only slightly above lash damage, speed up the orbs and add a secondary which is like a weakened and shorter ranged vortex whip. (notice that little thing under the lashers barrel, that would emit the secondary beam) This would force lasher users to close in, stay on target, and make a judgement call about which fire mode to use. I had some ideas for the other two heavy assault weapons, but they were pretty much a waste of time, the mcg is fine as it is and changing the jack would ruin every NC grunt tatic. Bring on the flames.

i love using the lasher but for a while i used my NC alt and i was horrified at how annoying it actually is any idiot thats played quake for like 1 hour with the rocket launcher knows how to guide their target so really lasher is ESSENTIALLY Quake 101 tactics it would be nice to really have to think about how to use it rather then depending solely on close quarters and the spash effect and i agree MCG and n00bammer are fine as they are (cept the JH at long range...no point in even trying to shoot which is where i guess the Gauss comes in which also has to be the best longer range MA weap [personal opinion]) Last edited by Sploogey; 2004-08-15 at 05:59 AM. |
