If you are looking for a more younger audience oriented library, go Gamecube. While there are titles for older gamers, the GameCube's primarary library is aimed at the 14 and under crowd.
If you wish a larger array of Teen to Mature Titles, go with the X-Box. Graphics wise, the two are fairly similar with the X getting a small over all advatage. The X wins for storage (Hard drive, no memory cards!) X wins for online play, GCN cant. X wins for load times.. faster then the GCN In the end though, buy the system that has the games, or is geared to offer the games you prefer to play.

I've had all the systems at one time until I sold the GC and PS2 because personally I like Xbox the best, Xbox live is the best online service for any of the consoles, theres Halo2, and it has a built in harddrive and you can rip songs on it to play in some games. I would SERIOUSLY GO FOR XBOX, you WILL NOT REGRET IT.

...I must be the only GameCube proponent.
Seriously, why get an XBox? Are you seriously going to get an XBox for like... 3 or 4 good, exclusive games? A lot of the games that are "good" on XBox are already out on other systems. Sure, the graphics won't be as top notch (unless it was optimized for a different system, like Burnout 3). So what if the games are geared towards children? Does it really make a difference? Do you feel "cool" and "mature" because you're playing games rated Mature? What difference does it make? What exactly is the point of video games? That's right, to have fun. If you find a game that's "kiddie" (which is a ridiculous term) that's fun, then who cares? You're having fun, while people whoare trying to be "mature" may just be forcing themselves through it just to feel cool. There are just so many more good, exclusive GameCube games than XBox games. |
