Well sure he did some great things, but I don't like religions... so it kind of outweights what he did. It's kinda like the whole Terri thing, I don't give a flying shit about it let them die in peace for fucks sake I don't care if he saved a bus full of children with the power of the pope cane, he should be allowed to die in peace.
I hate when the media meddles in private affairs, yes he's a public figure but he should be allowed his peace, sure make an announcement but we don't need a 24/7 coverage.

Gio got a point about the Terry case, hell i think only reason why she got her tube removed and never put back because of the public pressure.
but the Pope is a big religous figure. He was already public anyways, so whats the difference.

The Pope was a great man and did great things for the world, and even peagans like myself are sad to see a man that did so much for the world die. He is now a part of history, and he will be remembered. Don't let his religeon get in the way of how much he has helped the world.
Let's hope for a new generation of leaders as dedicated to helping mankind achive peace as John Paul was

I'm an atheist. The pope was just another man to me, so you won't see me grieving over his death.
That aside, I'm not going to go and piss off any catholics with unfeeling remarks about him, I can understand the importance he had to them and respect that. To all catholics, I'm sorry for your loss, he was indeed a good man as he devoted his life to the betterment of other people, a noble cause. |
