It will run on just about anything, although I would not personally try and run it on a Modem

is an wireless router with 1mb connection good enough?....its bcause i play CoD2 and i have a tough time playing with all the high ping and lag...will it be the same with planetside?...

It should be good enough - although I prefer not to run online games or LAN gaming over wireless.

PS is very ping tolerant. We all were quite amazed during beta when east coast US players had the same experience as west coast US (which also happen to be where the beta servers were located in San Diago, CA).

With so many players on the field, the conventional hit detection had to be greatly simplified compared to other multi-player fps's around at that time. In games such as Tribes, ping and server proximity to compeating teams were often a point of contention as it noticable affected the game play. Not so with PS - any form of broadband seems to be sufficient and all 3 server's gameplay is reasonable similar despite the client location.

When you log in just pick the server that has the lowest ping, and never worry about it again.

yeah but arent there only 3 servers?...one european, one east US and one west US..?which one should i pick?..the one with the less ping even if it is in the US (i live in europe)?

Well - usually the one geographicly closest has the lowest ping.. usualy.
