SporkFire over at the official PlanetSide site has posted a "Beta Test Journal" from this past Saturday:
On February 22nd, fifty beta testers selected from the PlanetSide fan community gathered at their Empire Sanctuary for the first time. The Dev Team held a brief introductory session, which was surprisingly organized, even with players running off to test the systems they were curious about. Our objective was to capture the Gunuku Dropship Center on the continent of Cyssor before other Empires could beat us to the punch. As the leader of a Terran Republic squad, I loaded my troops into a Sunderer and drove them to Gunuku. Along the way, there was a large skirmish over a gun tower, captured earlier by the Vanu Sovereignty. This is when the feedback started. Before we had even reached our true objective, players were shouting and cheering their excitement to be in their first battle on the planet Auraxis.
