After weeks of planning, it's official! The first ever Planetside Universe gathering is coming! Here's what Triggar, the mobilization coordinator, announced in the forums:

Ladies and Gentlemen of the PSU Community, it is with great pride and excitement that I announce:

PSU MOBILIZATION ALPHA
Friday, August 20th through Monday, August 23rd, 2004

From Friday through Monday, the PSU Community will meet in Orlando, Florida for a weekend of fun and flames. We will be staying at the Sheraton Vistana Resort. The tentative plans for the weekend are:

Friday - big, celebratory dinner at Medieval Times.
Saturday - spend the day at Universal Studios. LAN Party and pizza afterwards.
Sunday - spend the day at Disney. Dinner in Downtown Disney.
Monday - breakfast at the hotel, and farewell's.

The cost has not yet been calculated for the weekend, but those figures will be released as soon as they are available.

We have also received word that some of the Planetside Developers may be attending the Mobilization. This has not yet been confirmed, however. More information can be found in the PSU Mobilization Alpha thread in the lounge. Also, detailed information such as hotel, LAN center, and dinner arrangements can be found here.
