Post Now In Development

SamhaynePS has posted some new information about things the dev team is working on, including BFRs, mice, and other changes.
We wanted to post some items that are currently in development.

We have two corrections that are currently in internal testing that should be making their way live soon.

1)Mouse wheel keymapping. A correction for the mouse wheel responding slowly should be corrected with the update planned for Monday 11/29
2)Independent Turret screen jitter. Forvehicles with independent turrets (ones that stay fixed despite thedriver turning the vehicle), gunners may experience jitter of thescreen visuals. While this correction will not make it into the Monday 11/29 update, we do plan to bring it live as soon as possible thereafter.

We are also continuing to evaluate BFR balance. The following are changes we are considering:

Standard BFR
No changes planned at this time.

Flight BFR
Moderately reduce the Flight BFRs ability to withstand fire to compensate for its good ability to dodge incoming ordinance.
-Moderatelyreduce its shield regeneration rate so fire from a single AV weapon isenough to keep the shield from regaining, and more fire after that willbeat it down.
-Slightly increase the batter down time of the shield. Batter down time is the duration of how long the shield stays down once it is reduced to zero.
-Moderatelydecrease the chassis armor small arms absorption to make mediumassault, or other, direct fire from small arms more effective.

To compensate for the above adjustments, Flight BFRs will have their handling characteristics improved. The goal in this change is to focus the units capabilities on the skill of the driver. So, the Flight BFR wouldnt be able to take hits well but this is made up by its mobility.

Two Man Gunner BFR
To put the focus for this variant back on strength through teamwork, we plan to make the following adjustments
-Slightly increase the overall regeneration rate of this units shield to better withstand direct AV fire.
-Moderatelyincrease the crouched regeneration rate to promote their use as mobileheavy turrets that can set up shop in a location while dishing outthe hurt.
-Re-evaluate their movement speeds and handling characteristics to make them the opposite of the Flight variants. They rely on their ability to take hits more than dodging them. This would include evaluating and lowering their top speeds to reduce their ability to turn tail and run.

BFR Acquisition
Weare also looking at how BFRs are acquired and planning to implement achange to cavern capture to further focus on fighting and alsore-evaluate the difficulty of acquiring the Advanced BFR merit.

While this is not all we are working on, they are ones we wanted to comment further on. We will have further input on other activities as we move into December as well as looking forward to the New Year.

We invite your input:
