One thing both my outfit and I re hoping to see is an ingame ability to separate everyone into their own divisions within the outfit. So you would have an Armor Division, Air etc. Personally I would think it would be pretty sweet to be able to show your rank within the outfit and your division on your shoulder. So you would have your ribbon rack on your left shoulder and your rank/division insignia on your right.
I know it's just fluff but I think it would be cool. |

Higby has said something along the lines of them recognizing how sweet the outfit specialization perks are and understands outfits will want to use multiple roles.
We so need some details, like soon. We should be out of this Teaser phase. |

I'd like the option of Outfit leaders able to create groups/section within their own outfit under different leaders and names period. Be useful to have consistent squads or putting someone under the newbie grp so you can watch over them. You know besides the obv. armor/aircraft/infantry groups

If outfits could assign members for example to 3 groups, platoon leaders, squad leaders and infantry and outfit members could be assigned to multiple groups, an auto grouping system could be created. When two outfit members are online, an option could be presented to group up and form an "outfit squad". If more members come online, the squad will grow and with little to no user interaction will keep on growing auto joining "outfit members" who log in and come online. When the squad is full, it could split up the full squad in half, two half full squads and join them in a platoon and keep on auto joining new members. Outfit members who are assigned to the squad/platoon leader roles, will automatically be assigned to lead a squad/platoon for those automated squad/platoon creations. |

I was hoping for that. It would be a shame to have an outfit ONLY be able to spec in tanks. My clan for example does a lot of different stuff, Sentrosi for example is a big time Tank Driver, while I am almost always found saving his ass from the air , and Hamma likes to drive Galaxies. Having different divisions in each outfit would be great.

I read the dev tease as:
Outfits are supposed to be small and specialized (air, tank, boot, etc.) Alliances gather specialist outfits together under one banner. But I could be wrong.

I don't do the tanks as much as Mani does. When he gets into a tank, you know a world of pain is coming for the enemy! I used to like blowing stuff up behind lines. I also enjoy repairing and hacking things. But I think I'm going to roll my Galaxy piloting skills into the next game. Also I enjoy long walks along the Ceryshen shores. I'm a Gemini and like the colors red and black.

As long as specialisation isn't a major point of contention within outfit leadership or foster a lot of outfit hopping, specialised outfits belonging to a larger battalion (or alliance or whatever they decide to call it) sounds cool. |
