Character Models
As shallow as it may seem on the surface, I lost all interest in Star Wars The Old Republic when I realized that the character models are going to remain the way they are in that game. To me they look ugly, ill-proportioned, and as though they are made out of their clothing rather wearing their clothing. Yet this isn't "shallow", because at the end of the day, if I don't like looking at a game, why would I play it? An interesting thing to consider is that I really like "art style" of World of Warcraft and the Clone Wars Adventures cartoon series, both of which are absolutely "cartoony" in design. I think the trouble with the SWTOR characters lies in the uncanny valley, which is something that SOE has masterfully avoided with Planetside 2. After having a look at the vidoes and screenshots from Planetside 2, I am thankful that SOE has once again gone to the effort to make character models that look like they are wearing armor/clothing, rather than being made of armor/clothing. The models also look well proportioned. This something that was done well in Planetside and put to great use in Star Wars Galaxies and Everquest II, by way of the massive amount of clothing that is available in those games. In the latter games, I always found it natural to look at and interact with the character models and not because they looked "real", but because they looked "right". Coming into PS2 with the knowledge that the character models will "look right" is awesome and really, worthy of a sigh of relief. So, thanks for being awesome, SOE Art Team! /salute |

I dunno, the dancing twileks are okay...
But the art in PS2 is really excellent. I always wanted graphics that really impressed me and only lately have games started to do that properly and PS2 is really getting what I think PS is about stylisticly so I applaude T-Ray and the others for doing this to such a standard. Now that said... bout that trolly on dat Lib. Someone said something about the lib not being a bomber? Lets hope it looses the fatty trolly it had in the process. :P |

If I ever see a review for PlanetSide 2 that doesn't give it a perfect score for graphics, I will flip numerous tables as that will be completely insulting to the hard work TRay and his minions, and the techies, are putting into this game.

I'm pretty sure he meant "official reviews from credible, reputable gaming websites such as Gamespot, Rock Paper Shotgun, IGN, Eurogamer, Massively, MMORPG.com, Tentonhammer, PCgamer, Kotaku, Destructoid or Edge magazine "

The art is good, but making use of the dynamic and static lighting will be what really takes this from good art to great art.
Please use the Oxford comma and I'll explain why. If you don't it reads "PCgamer (Object 1), Kotaku (Object 2), Destructoid or Edge magazine (Object 3)." "Destructoid or Edge magazine" becomes a noun similar to how "Proctor and Gamble" is. I'm seeing this mistake made more and more and it just continually irks me. Also, Sky where did you find that Avatar picture? If it's part of a series it's alien to me.

ANYWAY! it turns theres some asian guys who want ShockSN and MAXKDAG to put motion sensors in their spawn tubes, i saw no "non homo" on this page, so i can only assume its innuendo for they want to get busy with us. I have since posted on the FC site: http://future-crew.net/forums/index....ic,4210.0.html as you can see it sports a new design and is heavy on rainbow, Tray would be proud. We're discussing things now, also internally, but naturally we will want to get in contact with these people, I expect FC to take the role of pitcher as we know asians are lacking in the pants department. As for the picture....i found it in on the asian site, http://farn.s22.xrea.com/weblog/arch...lanetside.html slightly down from where you ctrl+f to future crew. it had teal hair, and im not really about that, it needed to be brighter,i automatically went went for a hot pink.
