Exclamation Time to... Sherlock *Speculate*

...seaborne combat...
...More than 20 vehicles with two unique vehicles per empire...
2x3=6 - ES vehicles
20-6=14 - Common Pool Vehicles

Mosquito
Reaver
Wasp
Liberator - 1
Vulture
Galaxy - 2
Galaxy Gunship
Lodestar - 3
Phantasm - 4

Lightning - 5
Prowler
Magrider
Vanguard
Leviathan \
Vindicator - - - Sunderer - 6
Juggernaut /
Deliverer - 7
Raider
Aurora
Thunderer

Harasser - 8
Skyguard
Marauder*
Thresher*
Enforcer*
Fury \
Basilisk - - ATV - 9
Wraith /
ANT - 10
AMS

Switchblade - 11
Router - 12
Flail - 13

BFRS \
BFRS - - NO.
BFRS /

BOLD - Vehicles confirmed to be absent or excluded logically due to available customisation options.
ITALICS - Vehicles confirmed to be present.
NORMAL - Vehicles with unconfirmed presence.

13 original Common Pool PS vehicles are present or unconfirmed.

14=13+1

What is this vehicle. Is it only one vehicle? Could it be that some of unconfirmed vehicles (like the AT stuff) are absent? Is this one vehicle proven to be new belongs to naval battlefield? Could it be that we're to face even more?

*Judging from the quoted statement we'll only have 2 ES vehicles. That would be tanks and fighters. That's why I excluded buggies.

EDIT: Forgot to mention Deli

Re: Time to... Sherlock *Speculate*

The AT stuff is propably not going to appear. Means its actually 5 vehicles that are "new"

But i assume the number 20 is just somewhat random. :>

Well I don't think the AT vehicles will be there. I think the Dev team mentioned they didn't want the flail (indirect artillery). I dunno, I can't think of vehicles they would develop before buggies. Maybe its just marketing and they counted different customized variants of vehicles as separate?

Possibilities I think:

Some sort of Skyguard like vehicle. I know tanks can put on AA, but it seems like a more specialized vehicle could be present too.

I dunno, i feel like most of the basic types of vehicles are covered. I can't think of any other categories not already mentioned in the OP.

I remember Higby saying no to the Phantasm at one point. Unless that's changed (I hope.)

We've seen enough screenies of the galaxy in the game for you to count it as pretty much confirmed at this point.

Can't remember whether it was Higby or T-Ray, but someone confirmed that the Liberator is in the game, but it is now a gunship rather than just a bomber.

So that leaves only 12 left.
  • Deliverer (Light troop transport w/ amphibious capability)
  • Light Assault Vehicle (something akin to the Lighting of old)
  • Sunderer (Heavy ground troop transport)
  • Basilisk (ATV)
  • Harasser (basic buggy)
  • Lodestar (Heavy lifter)
  • Phantasm (not necessarily immediately stealth, just a lighter air troop transporter, without the ability to spawn troops)
  • ANT (Though I think it'd be to transport Auraxium, not NTU)

I would expect each of those, save for the Lodestar and Phantasm (which are just air transports), to be customizable for specific roles and with empire-specific weapons.

So that leaves 4 more vehicles, the roles for which I can't come up with unless they're more task-specific, like Skyguard, minesweepers, or maybe even a mobile engineering depot (basically the AMS without the spawns, available to engineers so they can drive away from a base, deploy, set up a mine field and then get back in and drive to another spot).

You forgot about all the BFRs!
Theres the big BFR, the small BFR, the massive BFR and the even more overpowered BFR.
The hover BFR, the flying BFR, the BFlodestaR and the indoor BFR. I think that covers all the missing ones right?

Seriosuly though would they include varients into the number (like Galaxy with a big gun, Galaxy with an AWACS section (please) etc?)

I also think Lightning was mentioned in the "driver controls main gun" discussions, as many were wondering about where does that leave Lightning, and it was said something along the lines that Lightning can be overall more nimble and have a bit different role now (I sorta feel it could be better at fe. AA than a MBTs second gun)

Wasnt it said that no buggies at launch? Wouldnt that exclude Harasser? Or was it ES buggies only that wont be present?

During the last AGN broadcast when Higby was present on the text chat I asked several times regarding the Lodestar and got no replies.

Could they be including the planned water vehicles in the 20?
