I think I speak for most when I say this, guys you have got something good here, its unique and so far it looks amazing.
So please take your time on it, I would rather wait another year (and that is so hard to say) but I would rather the wait, than the game be released into the world in a bad state. And this goes for the beta, I'm not sure if its running yet or not, but take your time here, although we twist and moan, we can and we shall. All good things come to those who wait. Good luck! |

Thats good news, at first I was wanting the game yesterday, but now I have mellowed and I would rather the game be in good condition when I get my mits on it It looks so bloody good, it would be a shame for this to end up in the disaster bin lol

Crash and burn. Or in Planetside's case it was an unknown but interesting game that turned out to be amazing. Then the problems showed through of it getting repetitive because all the bases and towers were the same so they shared their ideas of new base ideas. Three months after launch we got CC and everyone hated it, it added more land mass which the game didn't need and was so far out of the way that noone went there. So after the failure of an expansion people started leaving with boredom only to return the next year for an excited time with The Bending. Only it wasn't that great, the four new islands sucked and the new map looked like it was made with mspaint. I remember BFRs somewhere around that point (I think it was after as they were the final nail) and they broke the game so badly EVERYONE quit. I mean SOE are great at making game breaking content and not rolling back.... the NGE and the CU spring to mind. So really the SOE curse can strike at any time but usually it's a bad launch followed up by poor content then a game breaking patch that makes everyone leave but the fanbois. I just hope they've learnt. |

What ever happened to them Capital bases (think that was what they were called) as they were promised for so long and never came. Instead we got stuff we didn't want lol...
Like EQ2 crafting nerf! Like wtf who asked for this? All we wanted was server merges so we could actually find players. Now crafting has been dumbed down and it was the one thing left that I still liked about the game. |

SOE you heard the crowd so take your time. As much time as the higher ups will give you and make certain you plan for a long beta. When I get to the beta I plan to test everything I can and break the game six ways to sunday so that you fix it and when it is released it is perfect.
