I'm looking to upgrade the video card and the RAM.. I want to make sure they're compatible.
I'm not set on the RAM, but I would like to have 8-16GB, I currently have 4 and might just see what it is exactly and get 2 more sticks of it making it 8GB total.
I have 4 slots for RAM, 2 are open, I am using 2x2GB right now.
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231442

I really like this video card, from what people are saying its epic and I wont need an upgrade for years. Right now im using ATI Raedon 5770 HD 1GB.
Really want to get a good 2GB video card for under 300 dollars.
Video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161372

Keep in mind I haven't shopped around to get the lowest price for these two upgrades, but if they're compatible and you'd suggest getting them I will definitely see where I can get them cheapest.
Any input is appreciated, thank you. Let me know if you need anymore spec info.

If you can I suggest waiting for the 7800 series which should land in February and Nvidia just may pull something out of their hat. Even if you do not want a 7800 card you can at least get a nice discount on a 6970.

So when I average 90-120 fps on WoT with the PS2 Rig I built with a 3GB GTX580, I'm doing good?

How much will 7800 be? If its under 300 then ill get it otherwise ill wait for the discount opportunity on the 6970.

Theres 4 slots so 4x4GB = 16. I currently have 2x2GB =4GB and can just upgrade 2x2GB more of what I have probably be cheaper but it will only be 8GB total.. im wondering if u can 2x2GB and 2x4GB or do they ALL have to be the same?

Yeah im going to stick with ATI/Raedon and probably wait for 7000 series for atleast a discount or the 7000 series itself if its not $300+

If anything the 7800 series should occupy the $200-$350 pricing point. You will be able to get at least a 7850 anyway. I expect a good discount on the 6900 series as well. Probably can snag a 6970 for $250 or lower at least.
