It's nothing we don't know, but i LOVE how positive this editor is about Planetside 2! This is the video of the anti-air turret being drawn.

I'm surprised by how well they are getting the word out there. So much better than when the first game came out. PCGamer itself will bring in thousands and thousands.
My question. Will they be making PS2 on a set of C.D.s so people that don't see this game online or in a magazine can still come across it in GameStop or something? That's how I found PS. |

To be fair on SOE, a PCGamer article is how I came to know about PS1. There are much more gaming news websites now than there were 8-9 years ago.
Hopefully if Pro7 does their job in Britain there will be bus adverts and, the holy grail, TV adverts. |

I know its been mentioned a million times already - but I also think that having a steam release will be the biggest boost that SoE could give this game. A GIGANTIC market that already loves free to play. Put that on the front page for a month and it will be massive.

I'm 99% sure PS2 will be on steam... That's 4+ million users right there. |

Geez, time to get with the times man! =) Steam and other digital download services are how games will be done more and more. If not for the awful closed systems of consoles, then the gamestop's of the world would be out of business (atleast no more physical stores that is, just internet shops). Consoles would be downloading games just like most all PC users do. There's no need to buy physical copies anymore. Its old and pointless and a waste of time and resources. Seriously tho, you are the only pc gamer i know who goes to a store to buy games, and the only one who would learn about a game at a store. If you can play PS then you have this thing called the internet. You should never be surprised about a game anymore. It definitely was a store bought thing for ps1 but the world has changed massively and im serious when i say im surprised that the PC section at gamestop is even still there, i know the one closest to me has just a tiny rack with pretty much just a few very well known games and some accessories. (havent been there in well over a year, its prob gone now) Almost no one buys physical games there anymore. I havent bought a physical pc game in atleast 4 years.

Waiting for the return of the superior, real PS style teamwork oriented vehicles with drivers not gunning, and in fixed vehicle slots so we can once again have real, epic, vehicle battles where the tanks actually move in combat rather than a silly 1700's era line up and shoot. |

I seem to remember being this excited about the original PS coming out... That as so many years ago though, i don\'t really remember what the community engagement was like back then. I just remember feeling like i knew everything about the game before i had even started playing it though, which was of course wrong. There was nothing like entering Auraxis for the first time... oh wait, maybe Norrath.

Why not? EQ and EQII are both on Steam... Honestly, Boris is right; most video games stores have one very sad rack of PC games these days, everything is about digital download (whether we like it or not), be it through Steam, or some knock off version (looking at you EA:Origin)
In other news, GameSpy still exists? Wow, I haven\'t seen heads or tails of them since I was playing MOH:AA...
