I use the A7N8X Deluxe version...works AWESOME!

The onboard audio is "OK", but I'd suggest getting the one without onboard audio if it makes it cheaper. The onboard LAN is good, tho. Really, getting your own Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Live or XGamer 5.1 will make a difference if you are going to hook it to any sort of a sound system.

Do NOT forget to get some good RAM!

A7N8X Deluxe (make sure it's the deluxe) is the best motherboard you can get for an AMD system hands down. The onboard audio on the A7N8X Deluxe is more than ok, it's great. It's better than alot of other sound cards (and that includes the audigy's)

I'd suggest saving more money and getting a higher end radeon or gf4. save like 70 more and get a radeon 9500 or a ti4280 turbo card or even a ti4200. All are great cards that aren't like $400.

will the ATI Radeon 9500 PRO 128MB DDR AGP 8X w/ TV-Out & DVI - OEM go with the A7N8X Deluxe, and the A7N8X uses a AMD 2800+ chip right? can those all work with eachother??

Yup, they go whit eachother..

As for the sound on the mobo, it uses a nForce 2 chipset thats the ONLY amd chipset out there that has hardware AC97 codecs, meaning it dosn't use alott of the CPU to process the 6 streams for 5.1 sound...

or simply, the sound pwns =)

As many as your case will support. Regardless of what you have under the hood (even if it's an underclocked 8086), that is always the answer.

Seriously, I would reccomend filling up most of the fan slots on your case. And get a nice Crystal Orb CPU fan for the Athlon XP.
