Body Autopsy

I had a cool idea for an activity after death before you respawn. The basic version requires no cert, but the more advanced version does. Your body would be displayed lying on a "hospital" bed, and could be inspected in different ways. You would be able to see the entry/exit wounds so you could determine the basic direction you were shot from. The more advanced version would require a cert, but you would be able to tell what caliber the bullet that killed you was. Just a basic idea obviously and could be added on to. I thought it sounded cool... what do you guys think?

Pointless I guess...

But it would be a very cool feature.

Sounds like it could be turned into a basic 2D UI feature in your death-recap rather than have all the little bells and whistles on it.

Then it would be a pretty okay idea.

Really? I foresee a huge jump in the number of arrows to the knee.

@OP: I think it's a cool idea, but probably a little too complex to implement right now. But I like it and could see a place for it instead of the killcam.

you also have to manually perform surgery on your corpse in order to respawn.

Nice idea, it's such an intricate aspect of the game though. Region specific damage is one thing, accounting for the trajectory going into the body is a whole other problem.

Plus looking at a dead body might bump us over a Teen rating. Even if there's no blood, it could be seen as morbid

Actually that would be a good idea. I pretty much realized this would have to be dumbed down at least a little bit to even be considered by devs Definitely having a little recap. Maybe the place of the entry and exit wound and size of the bullet. Also see below.

If you apply the above suggestion, you could make it like a 2D screen that would show some info above like the time of death, time since last respawn, and below would be a wireframe representation of your class of character with little like circles highlighting the entry wound and a little diameter scale next to it for caliber of the bullet.

After it evolved it sounds better. I can suggest a rotatable wireframe of the death moment. Despite all the jokes about CSI, I say info you can get from this sort of killcam is a good award for being sharp. Brainless "Look at him his right there" type of killcam is worse by a mile.
