Planetside 2 info for planetside noob

hi guys.

ok iv never played planetside before so can you guys give me info how the game works ie servers, teams ect. im thinking you pick a server like WoW and then can join guilds ect.

what about the maps? iv seen they are huge and watched a few vids of the first planetside where they can go from one wold to another. from what iv heard this will not be in planetside 2 at launch. i have heard though there will be different maps. how will these rotate? will it be like the planet swapping in the first one?

sorry for all the questions but as i said never played planetside before but played alot of mmo's and way too many fps's lol. love the look and idea of this game and would really like to beta test if i get an invite.

The maps will be the same as in Planetside but only 3 at launch. So no swapping nor rotating, you choose where to fight based on where your outfit is and where you're most needed.
