I don't know about anyone else, but boy am i TIRED OF ALL THIS POLITCAL DEBATE. IMO it ruins the lounge and scares everyone off, every thread turns into a politcal debate.

I hate making more forums, but it seems you guys wont stop. So how does everyone feel about a political debate forum?

I was thinking about this a couple of nights ago as I was slamming my head into the monitor trying not to respond to a political thread.

The plus-side of this is, people that don't like political threads won't even have to see them anymore. The down-side is the Lounge will lose alot activity because it seems, as of late, the only thing in here is political threads.

It's difficult to avoid worldly issues, especially right now. You can't go 5 mintues without hearing about Iraq, the UN Security Council or Bin Laden.

You might want to expand it to something other than just politics.

How about calling it the philosophy/politics forum.

And who would be the modderator?

Where would politcal satire go? In the lounge cause it is aimed at being humorous or in the the politics section cause it is technically political?

I was for it a while back. Politics come up alot, and always will. You can't stop it (Well you *can*, but you know what I mean). Some people really hate them. Some people really love them. The only choice you have is to split them up, otherwise one of the two groups will be really pissed off if you isolate them. I say go for it, it'll also keep people from always jumping in and bitchin about political debates and it'll help keep them from sidetrackin and intentionally flaming.

I am just tired of some non polical threads turning into political threads lol.

Picking a moderator is the hard part, creating the forum is easy.

Thats not true. Disagreeing with someone is tottaly different then hating, disliking or even abusing "admin/moderation" powers. Find someone whose mature enough to do it, lay down the "rules of conduct" and let em go.
