A relatively circular continent with three floating islands; one for each warp-gate. The three islands are made of ice, and are therefore not attached to the ground. The sea around the main continent has a circular torrent, which means that the three islands slowly rotate around the main continent (perhaps a 5 day cycle?). Each small island has a bridge that extends over to the main continent, which is unattached, since the torrent would break it.
A dynamic continent like this will completely change the distribution of territory, going from a more compact, predictable distribution, to a more sporadic one. Also, since no faction has their warp-gate specific biome, there will be absolutely no issue about whether one biome is better than another. What do you guys think? |

its a good thought that the devs need to look at, but not moving all the way around the map may be just circling just a small part of it so that our bases don't get to messed up and that would be a little chaotic. If you worked for 2 hours or so to take a base and then for it to be taken back 2 hours latter makes me not feel any reward for taking it and that destroys my fun.

The logical thing would be to say that I'm an idiot, but if I'm an idiot then my logic is flawed, which then means I'm not an idiot, which then means my logic is sound, in which case I go back to being an idiot...
Hopefully a moderator will move it at one point. Last edited by Memeotis; 2012-06-10 at 11:03 AM. |

That's a pretty interesting idea. Of course, it can't move too fast, so maybe a single revolution would take one or even two full days. Still, it'd throw an interesting dynamic into the mix, and I'd like to see this be an idea for a future continent.
Also imagining someone slowly driving a flash across the bridge and falling off the edge since he didn't have enough speed. |
