How about they implement something like the flying what-do-call it in BF3 and add it into PS2, but you are able to turn of the inferred sight and just have a blank screen choice as well? This is a good example for video makers...
If you watch this it will stun you haha |

I have no clue if any information about this has been mentioned already, but I'm all for it. Really, with the things people do with footage from video games these days, its kind of a no brainer to give people the option to turn off HUD and anything else.
Now as far as fly-over cam, or whatever, I think that could potentially give an unfair advantage. If you want to shoot fly-over footage, hang off the side of a galaxy or something and shoot it like they do in real life. Hopefully production wont get interrupted by weapons fire, but thats part of the peril of filming in a war zone. |

I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of flying spy cams that could double as filming devices. Just make them cost quite a few resources, have very few hitpoints, and some other disadvantages to outweigh their ability to be abused excessively for free intel.
One would be slower and more nimble for use in infantry and urban filming, the other would be quicker (and larger) and be able to keep up with air superiority fighters. I don't think that making them cost as much as some of the more expensive vehicles would be too big a problem for filming purposes. Besides, players could still use other methods to record footage. I imagine that Light Assault will make good camera men from various vantage points. I'm somewhat concerned about whether we'll be able to use fighters as flying cameras though. That 3d cockpit would certainly get in the way. Maybe there could be a sidegrade cert that removed the 3d cockpit with a tradeoff, or maybe there would be an ingame recording option that could be toggled to remove the hud and 3d cockpit on the final recorded footage (which wouldn't be useable in live gameplay). |

Battle Recorder from BF2142 was one of the better ones I've seen. Except there's probably enough strain on PS2 srvrs as it is, A optional client side one would probably make it feasible. Instead of recording actual video it recorded placement data so it was easy enough to go back and check it out when ya did something cool from multiple angles.
