How will they work at night?
Will they get awesome spotlights or nightvision? How should they work? Is there any information that I missed on the upgrading of these turrets? Could they be implemented into the certification system and change based on the player?

+1 to ridiculously bright spotlights on wall turrets at night. Makes me think of the lights that would come off a prison wall. To your second point, I don't know that they've said anything about upgrading turrets, but it worked out pretty well in the first one: wasn't too OP but was still worth it, so I don't see why they wouldn't include it in the sequel.

Yes but there will be enemy tanks and aircraft lurking about, I would hate to make their job at aiming at me that easy. I hope however that turrets will have IR vision mode for night fights.

This + I'd love it if the light was so bright, that if approaching the beam head on, a pilot's screen would be flared causing him to slam into a tree or something... Though as I type this I'm reminded of the horror that was BF3 flashlights before they were toned down, soooo take it or leave it I guess.

Blinding a player could be a very viable strategy to make them miss/deter or win a head on fight though (turn it on and off tactically). Would give a stationary unit with this short TTK thing PS2 got going a little bit more of a fighting chance.
Would have to see how it works out. Could be very annoying. Could be pointless. |
