Ok after all of the heated discussion about ridiculous stuff like TTK, ADS, and Ammo Drops, it's time we finally discuss the important stuff: Grass Textures! I know you are probably thinking grass textures... who doesn't want them to look amazing? I know right, but there are bigger issues at hand. Grass should look comfy, but not too comfy! or else you'll be laying prone in it all day and that's not effective beta testing.
Grass Textures should look good or else the pacing of the game will be all messed up because everyone's just going to stand around staring at the grass thinking, "I wish that grass looked comfier". In sandy and snowy areas, there's no grass textures, what's up with that? SOE should be more creative. We need the full grass texture experience to make this the game we all want! Any thoughts? What else is SOE not putting the spotlight on that needs some attention? |

It's absolutely absurd that we be denied our grassful rights! They even had grass in the Iraqistans! I have a pic of it on me FB's but settings are for PRIVATES ONLY so sorry But trust me, it was there. Right in the middle of the sahara desert in iraqs

I've always wondered why grass technology hasn't caught up with things like volumetric smoke and other objects. Seems like devs just make a bunch of grass sprites and stick them close together in clumps every so often. Hell, even in Crysis the leaves and bushes were more detailed than the grass. I wonder if there's a way to fake a bunch of grass in a simpler way that is still visually equivalent, kind of like turning distant objects into 2-dimensional objects to save processing power, or putting a sky dome to simulate clouds and birds and very distant landscapes.

Rain and water :P Grass would be neat, but I want my soothing and refreshing rain, and I want to see the gentle lapping of the waves over the sand and stones, the complex yet simple details. I want to be so taken away by these that I'll want to run around in the rain and go swimming in the ocean
