battle arena

they should add a 1 on 1 battle arena :P so people can challenge each other one on one. that would be pretty cool for bragging rights. it's totally separate from main continents but would be fun to be able to tune in and watch away from main battle. make it so you can challenge other people on the same faction or the other 2 factions as well. what do you guys think of that? maybe live stream them somehow so you can watch it while fighting in the main battle somehow.

The only reason I'll say no to this is because it doesn't serve any purpose in the game, really, whereas other arenas (space combat, for example) have their place in the strategic meta-game. Also one on one is difficult to pull off except for, what I like to call, "pure shooters" i.e. quake 3, unreal, etc...

Then somewhere in the future they decide that keeping the arenas balanced is more important than the rest of the game and bam... world of arenacraft all over again.

I actually like the idea. ive always liked how i could /duel my friends in other mmos even if they were on my same team. Maybe if that Virtual training place is brought back then it can be included there.

But why stop at 1v1? This could be a good tool for Outfit training if it is kept in a place like that virtual training ground from PS1. As long as no EXP is gained so people dont decide to use it as a replacement for the real battlefield.

If these conditions are met (I.E. Virtual training ground + No EXP gain) then i dont see why not

There is no need to have a special arena for this. If there is a market for such things, it will happen naturally.
