Station Cash for PS 1 soundtrack in PS 2?

Would you pay Station Cash (how much I'm sure would be debatable) to be able to replace the PS 2 soundtracks with the equivalent PS 1 music? A menu option could allow you to toggle between the "legacy" and "modern" soundtracks.

I do like the new PS 2 soundtracks that were leaked, but the original soundtracks have a special place in my heart. There's something about it that just moves me.

EDIT - For the record, I had no idea about the PS1 armor sets poll before making this one, so no, it's not a copycat thread.

turning off music will be one of the first thing i do when i get into PS2.

but don't see the harm in having it if other people want it. seems easy to implement.

Assuming ps2 will have mp3s:

Copy mp3 files from ps1 directory, rename to ps2 filenames, done.

If you don't like it, don't fuckin' post. There is one other poll on the first page of this forum so quit whining.

Polls are important because it lets the devs get a quick idea of what the community's opinion is on something without having to read through pages of posts.

This is a pretty good point, and one I should have thought of given there's a few games where I've done just that.

Exactly. No point paying for something you already got a copy of legally.

I would however pay for an OST cd of PS1 & PS2, especially if it comes with extra's like a making off, interviews with Don Ferrone, etc. But only if shipped from within Europe.

I bet it's easy to put it in yourself.

Of course... go cheap and play it in the background.

If you're really picky about the music being situational and such, sure. Pay station cash for it. If Sony can sell it and it doesn't damage my 100% free and flawless gaming experience, I don't care what it is that you buy.

Since we haven't heard the real PS2 soundtrack, we shouldn't assume it will not be better than PS1's. Though I must admit, the NC OST in its current synthesizer state sounds like poopy.

True, I don't mean to put down the PS2 music because it is certainly too soon for us to compare it to the PS1 score. It's the same composer, Don Ferrone, who is brilliant.
