Will my PC handle PS2?

I've got a pretty out dated computer and i don't have the money to build a new one so I did research to upgrade what i've got.

I'm upgrading my single core CPU to a AMD Athlon 64 x2 5000+ dual core. That's the best processor i can get into my PoS mobo.

4GB Ram is max for mobo.
and lastly i'm going to run a GTS 450.

Does my computer have a chance in hell at playing this game? I don't care much for high res and all that i just want a half ass smooth game.

Probably at like 1440x900 with medium to low settings.

They said it would run on 5 year old hardware. 5 Years ago a Core2Duo and like 2gb ram was commonplace.
