Okay I'll start with my suggestions, add yours:

1. Update the official PS2 site with more info about the game.
2. Remake the Teaser for the Trailer into a TV spot.
3. Have The9 and Pro7 work on translating it into different languages.
4. Launch it on TV.
5. Prepare the Launch Trailer, I advise old Battlefield-style engine-based trailer with script.
6. Rent some billboards worldwide with THIS image and the address of the official site at the bottom.
7. Have some retail boxed version of the game by launch like NFSW did.
8. Sell merch (e.g. dogtags, jerseys)
9. Live-action shorts released once a week until Launch a la Halo.
10. Tatwi's secret thingamajig

I emailed Smed my suggestion, as it is best left a secret. Given that it's a secret, I won't know if he followed through with it until I see it in action. Hopefully it happens, because it's not only marketing gold, it will be awesome.

I think that suggestion spent enough of SOE's money for one fan, so I'm happy leaving it at that.

EDIT:

Well, except for the toy and cartoon deal that I think they should set up, much like Transformers of the 1980s. All the animation for the cartoon was done in China back then and they did a great job with it. This is the kind of thing that The9 could set up almost entirely in China to stock the shelves and fill airwaves here in North America with Planetside awesome!

I never buy video game merchandise, but I would jump if PS2 sold those cloaker jerseys.
