I think LA need full face coverage masks, like in avatar or something to go along with their helmets and not just visors.
upon viewing the trailer again, it occured to me that while jet packing around as fast as a plane, one would not be able to breathe well enough to function in a combat role, if at all. I know, I know "you are asking for realism in a futuristic shooter on an alien world" no, im not, im fully capable of what is known as suspension of disbelief. However, as any good writer will tell you, when it is easy to avoid a scenario in which the reader/viewer will have to suspend disbelief, it is better to do it. every little bit helps a little bit. if it were ok to throw everything to the wind expecting the reader/viewer to do the work for you, every action movie would have the scene from the doritos commercial in it... you know the one where they drive an el camino through a fine china store that sells explosives out the back after beating evil knievel's record of cars jumped. the reason I thought of the masks from avatar with helmets, was because a high speed maneuvering warrior would need full and unobstructed vision, and being LA would also need a less armored appearance than say a heavy, so the theme is kind of fit with a mask like that. Not a huge deal, but then again it's just changing the appearace of a character model, not reprograming animations or rebalancing the game. |

<Light armor> vs. <Heavy armor.>
I'm hoping the words "cash shop" will explain the possible game plan regarding masks. I don't think they'll restrict making the light assault look heavily armored either, it's not like the extra padding actually needs to do anything besides make them some extra cash. |

They said they wanted to make the female models be just another solider on the field.
They said they didn't want to turn the female models into sex objects in skimpy fantasy clothing. They failed. Dat ass... Last edited by Kran De Loy; 2012-07-28 at 06:52 AM. |

I'm not a fan of the helmets either, but purely for aesthetic reasons. The firswt thing I do once we can use the cash shop is buy a new helmet for the LA and any other class with one of those 70's sci-fi helmets.

It really is not as bad as it could be, atleast the armor covers the entire body, and does not go chainmail bra on all of us.

Terminal velocity of a skydiver is around 122mph, and you don't need a full helmet or breathing apparatus while skydiving (altitude dependent, obviously).
Note that in the actual game you won't be moving anywhere close to that speed jetpacking around, so there is no need to suspend disbelief. Note also that customization options will almost certainly allow you to wear a helmet if you really feel you need one.

i dont think anyone will have the chance to pick their hair. whats the point when everyone has head protection? sure you couldtake it of but if thats an option i hope they make it so your armor reflects that fact and can get 1 hit killed by any gun or exsplosion around you.
