Controller Support Ver.2

Hello, Still really hoping for great controller Support, as anyone who has played the game seen any options of using a controller or has played planetside 2 with a xbox/PS3 controller?

I remember i asked this a while ago and we got one of the coders talking about Controller support.

We all have heard about joysticks but mag is reffering to support for a gaming controller.

As previously discussed,

There are players who have disabilities such as arthritis that make using a keyboard and mouse uncomfortable.

In addition there are players who prefer to sit back on their lazy boy and not have to use a keyboard and mouse.

I also hope there will be controller support.

Although I will be mainly using a keyboard and mouse, if the support is there I wouldn't mind kicking it back on my couch every now and then.

he takes the controller question around 51 minutes in, at around 52 minutes he starts talking about having analog controllers aswell.

"we also want to have all the functionality supported so you can use more analog controller additionally."

edit: its also very unlikely control setups would be pilot specific, idk how well controlers will work with infanctry and all, but im not a console gamer eitehr so idk .

There are different keymaps for different err "classes".
Infantry keybindings, Vehicles, Aircraft, etc.
One would assume that you can set it up as vehicles and aircraft to use joystick / controllers instead of keyboards n mouse.

If not, you'll just have to die while flying / driving and then change your device to KB&M when you want to use infantry or what have you.

yeah, he kinda moves away from the mic and sums it up very quick, its easy to miss.
