I got into the beta yesterday, and Planetside 2 keeps crashing. Anytime I leave the warp gate, either through hitching a ride on a galaxy or instant action, the window goes black (but sound continues to work). About 3 seconds after that the screen flashes and then the game crashes to the desktop with no useful error messages (only the standard "program is not responding" one).
I'm running PS2 in Bootcamp, so at first I just assumed that it was an issue with compatibility, and resigned myself to the fact that I'd have to wait for the official Mac version to come out. But then I found this post: http://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/i...1/#post-382677 ...and it seems that perhaps this is an ongoing issue that will be resolved. Does anyone know of a workaround for this issue? |

I don't know of anyone playing with PS2 on OSX at the moment. May have better luck with this on a thread on the official forums. Hopefully someone on here knows a trick though.

Your running windows trough bootcamp , there isn't any kind of incompatibility between your hardware and the OS ( windows ).
Since nowadays ( long goes the time off Powerpc ) macs are just the same as pcs ( but with low end gpus and 1033Mhz memory ) there isn't any kind of incompatibility by running bootcamp. Meaning that it's probably a problem with the game itself, report it as a bug. |
