newb squad question

On the map, are the green numbered circles your squadmates? I think I figured that much out so far.

Is there an easy way to tell what the squad's goal is? I auto-joined a full squad and no one was saying anything about what we should be doing. Is this probably because it was a squad of strangers or was there something in the UI I was missing that would tell me where to go or what the rest of my squad is doing?

if you auto join, and they're working together, they should be fighting in the same area, even if they are just following the zerg, but, if you join a squad and see on the map that they're scattered, then i suggest try finding another squad, or find were the zerg is and follow them, that's my own opinion really.

When the mission system goes in it will become a bit easier to figure out what is going on as a new player. Hopefully..

Yes the green circles with numbers are the squad mates, but so far no way to really tell if they have a certin plan.
