I get why collision is there because otherwise people can hide inside vehicle models and that would be dumb. However I've killed about 20 team mates in the past hour just from some of them walking into my Lightning some of the time. The camera in third person is so zoomed in that you cannot see people coming from behind easily. In first person you cannot know what is around you, some times I have random players repairing my vehicle while I'm focusing on shooting another tank, I move backwards and instantly kill him. I haven't got time to look at the mini map before I make a move each time.
I think it's crazy because eventually people are going to see my name and think "I wont bother helping him out" even though I didn't mean to run them over. The same goes for vehicles flipping over, why do they instantly kill you rather than just throwing you off Halo style? It's so annoying because the terrain is hard to negotiate and a lot of the time you don't want to take the path. |

Haha, a large portion of my deaths have come from being hit by friendly vehicles. Some from my own stupidity, of course, but yesterday, in the middle of a large battle, when I was hiding behind a bit of cover to reload, a teammate hit and killed me with a Flash. That was unacceptable, whether or not it was an accident.
At any rate, I don't really mind whether or not they tweak this, but I think people, both on the ground and in vehicles, should be a bit more careful, and as the person above stated, if you're going to repair a vehicle, do it from the side. |

The part that ticks me off the most is when you first spawn a vehicle, and when the unit is still in auto drive and you run 3 peeps over before you even get control over the vehicle.....seems to be the only multi kills i get.

What's the auto drive key? Tried q and num lock but they don't work lol.
The vehicles are so slow to turn that it's impossible to dodge people sometimes. It's not like Planetside where they were they responded to you quickly, in Planetside 2 it's like you're playing with v sync on or something, there is a bit of a delay. |

they need to add damage levels to it, when a vehicle nudges you it shouldnt really do anything except maybe scuff your armor, vehicles going slowly shouldn't kill you maybe partial hurt then when the vehicle is going top speed it should be death or near death.

I completely agree with this, they you are standing behind a tank and repairing it, and the driver suddenly decides to back up it should just push you backwards or to the side, not instantly kill you.

In Planetside though you were much tougher, a guy walked into me and died lol. Also if you hit anything like another aircraft you instantly explode, that's stupid because not even in real life does that happen unless it is dead on. Most the time you'll just lose a part or something and go out of control.

As a dedicated Engy this has been a very disappointing experience in the game, I have just adapted my technique for repairing vehicals in so much as I stand as far back as possible to deliver the juice, it leaves me open to enemy fire but better that than being taken out by the dude you just tried to help.
Maybe some kind of vehicle incapacity should kick in when you TK more than say 2 friendlies, something like an engine shutdown for 2 mins might make those who deliberately TK with a vehicle think twice, as for the rest of you innocent drivers...well I guess you'll just have to adapt and overcome and be a bit more observant. P.s this is an idea that came as I was replying to this thread, so it is just a rough suggestion, a seed if you like, into alleviating this problem. But if they introduce the idea of the collision sensitivity as posted then I guess that would be the easier way to go, although it don't punish the asshat TK'rs. |
