Preferred TR Carbine?

What carbine do you fellow Terrans prefer and why? I've heard good things about the LC2 Lynx but I can't seem to hit much with it, mainly because of its recoil. I try to get the highest DPS possible while still maintaining versatility and controllability and part of me feels like the default TRAC-5 gives the best balance between those things, which is quite odd to me.

The one that came with Alpha is the one I use on my Engy and my outdoors load out on my LA. I use shotty inside though with my LA, or in areas where I have lots of cover and levels to exploit.

The TRAC-5 seems to have this insane balance of low recoil, high fire rate, good range and good damage.

I don't really see a downside to it, honestly.

Personally I find the Lynx to be the best one I have tried. You can hipfire someone dead about the same speed as a Shotgun at close range since it empties it's clip so fast. And it's still accurate at mid range. Way more so than LMG's.

The Lynx.

It's two completely different weapons in one, both very awesome. You can put a "super" laser on it and hip fire all day and night or slip on a forward grip and ADS head shot like a surgeon. I prefer the second because you can strafe at regular speed while in ADS which another perk of the gun.

I do iron sights, forward grip and soft point with a 2.1 KDR.

i usually switch between trac and amc

both have forward grip and reflex's

Could the TRAC-5 S be a competitor due to its high velocity ammo giving it more damage? And the fact that it can mount a grenade launcher?
