Just some quick questions.
Would going from a GF4 Ti4200 64 mb to GF4 Ti4200 128 mb be worth it (for the money)? I'm sure my current 64mb card will probably run PS but I was wondering if going up to 128 would really make a difference. And is a GF4 Ti4600 128mb THAT much better than a GF4 Ti4200?

i would upgrade to a 128 MB Vid card nomater what brand you chose. simply because alot of newer games are adding in features that ONLY Cards with 128MB of Vid Memory can even see... such as the nice and new Reflective water in DAOC... if you dont have a 128 MB vid card all you see is the flattextured see/threw blue crap, but if you have 128MB Vid Card, you get the nice, cool looking reflective crystal clear water.
yes a 64MB card will more than likely handle PS withough being boged down, but you may miss out on some eye-candy if you dont get a 128MB card. its all depends on if you want to spend the money to see all the extras, or stay with what you have and possible not see all the eye-candy the 128MB users see. |
