General Questions

I will soon be returning from a hiatus from PC gaming and after waiting so long for a sequel, Planetside 2 is at the top of my list of games to play.

I have only played briefly and before I delve into the game I have a few questions.

1.) Are there any game breaking bugs or hardware compatibility issues I should be aware of? (I know of the problems with x86 operating systems.)

2.) Is hacking/exploiting prevalent?

3.) Which server would my fellow east coast gamers recommend? How is the outfit situation on said server, especially for the TR and how are the communication levels for the TR on recommended server.

4.) How is the overall balance of the game currently? (I know that some players have taken issue with the prevalence of lock-on weapons, specifically G2A missile launchers such as the Annihilator.)

5.) My favorite class to play in any class based FPS is the Engineer class, how well do they perform? Also, I loved using the Lightning in PS1, how does it fair in PS2? I hear they are made of paper mache, but they have always made up for that with their speed, but how is their weaponry and is there ever a reason to use one instead of an ES MBT?

I know it is a lot to read and answer but I will greatly appreciate any input from the community.

1. Not really no.
2. It exists but they are pretty quick to strike it down.
3. People will recommend whatever server they are on - I recommend trying a few
4. I think AA is a bit overpowered right now but otherwise balance feels good to me.
5. I think you will have fun playing both the Lightning and Engineer. The Lightning has more roles in PS2. The engineer a few less, no spitfire turrets but they do have some other goodies.
