Shoutcasters need a clue.
I watched for 30 seconds. "Vanu are trying to hold D, TR are pushing them" "Lots of battles at D .. why is that" "Well its closest to the spawn room" .. "Now they're trying to push down to the generators". If your shoutcasters can't explain the obvious tactical reasons and implications showcasing a size always matters strategic and tactical shooter .. you failed. |

Shoutcasters did ok.
The outfits were not exactly evenly matched. NUC is mostly high level TR, that recruit just about anyone high level on TR(seems that way from VS standpoint). VDRS was an outfit that has zerg recruited for months, they tend to brag about being 1400+ members. And no offense to the NC outfit(Iron Wolves), but I play on Waterson and don't even know who they are really. Not exactly the best way to present the competitive nature of PS2. Also randomly choosing a base to showcase a fight doesn't work. Making a fight at a Bio Lab into a 3-way fight is just a joke, there's a very slim chance that the defenders will lose it. |

Until they gt the instanced servers up, this is really only going to remain a showcase of ps2. That will change with the instanced zones.
The camera is fucked and they need to do a lot of work with it. The damned thing drives like a vanguard tank going over some chug holes. The camera needs to be slower and smoother. The transitions need to be not erratic like they are. The camera also needs to be fitted with some optics so they can zoom in. Shit let me number these. 1-smooth camera flight 2-zoom lens 3-ability to attach to a player fir real third person view 4-ability to tag a player and go into his first person view 5-expanded nightvision capable optics Another note, the commentators need to prep better. They should be briefed on the layout of the map and the tacticcal importance of all the different areas so that they can intelligently talk about what is going on and the ramifications of whats happening. |
