I'm no new player by any means, but I still think this is the right place to ask.
When someone is spotted by an enemy or ally, I hear the call out ("Enemy engineer spotted" etc.). When I myself do the spot, I don't hear anything. I've seen some videos of people playing solo and hearing their own spots. Is there an option for this? |

Tried a bunch of different things now. I deleted the Input..xml files, cranked up the audio options to max, enabled ingame voice. I tried different output devices (system default and my soundcard).
Didn't help at all. I looked into the Input..Default.xml though and there is a double assignment to Q. The first is spot and the second is for the spectator mode. Cannot remove the entry cause it's a default file. Code:
<Action name="MoveUp" displayName="UI.Ascend" ignoreModifiers="true"> <Trigger>Q</Trigger> </Action> |

Got an answer over at ps2.com: https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/.../#post-1801528
Windows defaults to 7.1 speaker configuration even if you're using stereo speakers or a headset. Setting this to stereo makes it work. |
